Each channel from the T-Kabel was put in its own Linto. I had used the same kind of input. (both into the right channel or both into the left channel).

Then connect the ground of the T-Kable with one linto and make a link from this contact to the ground of the other Linto. I had used a short piece of cable and two cable shoes.
Look that both Lintos have the correct phase.
If you can select the Lintos use two with a close serial number as possible.

Hello All,

I fully agree with all of you. 2 Lintos with the same generation (s.n closer as much as possible) is a wonderful upgrade for the cost now with seconds hand on ebay.
Uphorik is not valuable by comparisson with 2 lintos.
For sure Urika will be better but all is money question.
Where to put his money for the best results.
I did 2 years ago a demo with 2 lintos at my place and we were surprised about the results : stunning...
After Urika will be another step...
Good luck,
JIM

RE: 2 lintos
Hi All,

Does anyone know were the 25th anniversary model fits into the serial number chain.
My SN = 002462 on a 25th anniversary Linto.
Also is a late model Linto the same internal design as the 25th anniversary model?
Best Regards :-)

I understand the idea that one is for the Left channel and the other for the right, but which Linto gets the ground lead attached to it????

When I had the two Lintos I just connected the ground to one of them - I don't think it matters which one. I never tried connecting the grounds of the two Lintos together as Rille suggests. Since the Lintos are grounded to the wall socket I didn't think there was any need to ground them together. To be honest I never listened to it that way so it could be better. Best bet is to connect the ground to one of the Lintos and listen to it then try with the two Lintos grounded together as Rille suggests and listen again to see which is more musical. It could honestly go either way.

When using two Lintos connect the left channel of your tonearm cable to one of them and the right channel to the other one. While you are doing listening tests you might also want to check and see which channel (and which output) is more musical on each Linto - there is likely to be a small difference. Not big enough to be a big deal but if it's free you might as well have the best performance possible.

RE: 2 lintos
Are we saying 2 Lintos are better than a Uphorik?

RE: 2 lintos
I doubt it but I haven't done the comparison. What I can say is that the Urika is easily better than two Lintos and not by a small margin.

Thanks for the connection advice, I can't wait to try all the combinations (RR, RL, LR & LL) and hear the results.
I have tried comparing my two Lintos and they do sound different. The older one is more 'forward' with prominent vocals and bass, but the newer one has a wider soundstage and better resolution, but is a drier presentation. Maybe this way I'll get the best of both worlds Rolleyes

Interesting information Thomas.
I never tried to connect only one Linto with the ground of the tonearm cable.
I did it to avoid that one channel starts buzzing (or humming?). Maybe it wasn't necessary.

how can two Lintos sound so radically different? would love to know Linns opinion on this!

I am not aware of any changes in product spec so how can this be?

Hmmm.... If they don't sound the same it will probably not be a good idea to use one of them for each channel....
Would like to hear your verdict in any case.

Linn has done a lot of changes during the years without announcement, so to be sure to get a good result with dual Lintos they should be from the same vintage I presume.....
