My father owned exactly the same looking Ford Consul, also in the same colour blue.

I vaguely remember us driving all the way to Cannes, France, as a very young child in that car, from London.

Thanks for the memories Grim

For any muscle car fans, I bought this '69 Cutlass in '74 when I was 17. Outside is completely restored, interior still needs doing. 455 ci, M21 Muncie 4 speed and 4:33 gears in the back, a neck snapper for sure.

Nice car Gary. Very nice indeed.

Must have been great cruising the streets with that

My best friend from high school, recently bought a fully restored 1966 Mustang convertible with a 289 that looks like this:

He has a 5.1 surround system, with a Unidisk SC, Ninkas, Katans and Trikan, with an REL T2

Exakt Surround 5.0:
AEDSM, Exakt Akubariks, Akurate Exaktbox 6/4200 for 225 Centre, Majik Exaktbox I for 212 Surrds, OPPO 105 on StillPoints.
Power: Environmental Potentials 2460, Shunyata Triton, Zitron Cobras, Alpha Digitals
Room Acoustics: SPACE, SubDude HT's, Acoustic Panels

Three more of my old cars:

My first three were very "expensive" Tongue

The Mk1 Consul cost me £27.50. It had paper mâché sills and tin shims in the big ends (but still had no oil pressure).

The Daimler cost £17.50 and had a missing first gear on the pre-selector box.

The Pop cost £25 (phew) I bought from a work colleague who dealt in cars as a side line and was a great little car (relatively speaking).

And the birds up on the wires and the telegraph poles
They can always fly away from this rain and this cold

RE: Linnies With Interesting Cars
Thanks! It’s an early 2016 300 SLK (R172) with 'Air Scarf', of course Wink. For my former R170 this feature wasn’t available...

I do like the colour - One that hopefully doesn't get you noticed when pressing on Wink

Mercedes calls it 'selenite gray'. Perhaps they should name it 'stealth gray' instead. Wink

RE: Linnies With Interesting Cars
When driving home from the car dealer this Friday, there are about 20 kilometres on the route without any speed limit. Stealth mode isn't always required in Germany. Wink
