RE: ADSM colour change
It might be. I originally purchased my Radikal in Silver to match my Uphorik. When the Uphorik was replaced with a Urika, I had one silver box and lots of black boxes. A quick enquiry to my Linn dealer secured a change of case.

Yep. Your dealer will be able to sort out new metalwork as a spare part. Not an uncommon request.

RE: ADSM colour change
Any ideas what the pricing might be for this?

RE: ADSM colour change
I understand that the policy/process at Linn has changed and that units are now required to be returned to Linn for a case change and prices have risen dramatically. From memory a new Akurate case was about £700 now.

RE: ADSM colour change
If that's the case(!) I suggest the OP keep an eye on ebay as cases and fascias/fasciae for various models often come up on there, although admittedly as the current Akurate cases are relatively new, there's less likelihood of one of those appearing.

I sincerely hope that you are joking CJ. If not, then it suggests that the fitting of Dynamik PSUs and the installation of Chakra cards are now similarly considered to be outside a Linn retailer's skill set.

Surely not.

Paul.

RE: ADSM colour change
The sleeves/cases are still supplied to the dealer, but as CJ says, a fascia change is a return to factory job.

RE: ADSM colour change
Apologies for the misleading info - I don't really work in the retail side, but, in the olden days, it was a simple dealer job.

Reminds me of the time I sent my personal Unidisk to Linn many years ago. It left as a silver unit, came back with a silver facia still, but a black sleeve! I think the saturday boy was on the repair bench that day!
