RE: MinimStreamer support for new BBC HLS AAC streams
Hi

I chipped in to a conversation on the Qnap forum (pointing to the threads here) and the original poster has now posted a big list of BBC stations (as in all the regions). Sadly, it didn't work on his SlimServer kit, but from a brief scan, it looks like it would work with MinimServer (I'll try it later); post with his playlist is here.

Bri

KDS/1 (music) + ADSM/3 (AV) -> KK/1 -> 350A + miniDSP time & phase aligned 345 rear sub
ADSM -> 2250/D -> 212 and Sizmik front sub (bedroom)
Sneaky DS -> Roomamp -> 104C (awaiting installation in kitchen; home-brew 'floor sub' also yet to be designed)
MDSI -> Shahinian Arc (installed at my mum's house)

If you're still listening, I got this a few moments ago where my stream stalled when listening to Radio Four:

Code:
Error reading HLS stream: java.io.EOFException
java.io.EOFException
    at java.io.DataInputStream.readFully(DataInputStream.java:197)
    at org.jstreamer.lib.HTTPSource$ReaderThread.playMediaSegment(HTTPSource.java:932)
    at org.jstreamer.lib.HTTPSource$ReaderThread.playStream(HTTPSource.java:653)
    at org.jstreamer.lib.HTTPSource$ReaderThread.run(HTTPSource.java:483)

Any ideas what that could be related to?

This might be caused by a logic error in MinimServer or a BBC server problem or network problem. I will add some code to produce better diagnostic information if this happens. Thanks for letting me know.

The folder should not be named 'BBC radio.m3u'. For detailed instructions, see this page.

RE: MinimStreamer support for new BBC HLS AAC streams
Hello all,

My setup consist of:
Windows 10 64-bit desktop Build 1607
Intel i7-6700T CPU @ 2.80GHz, 32 GB Memory, 500 GB SSD
1 GB ethernet
100 MB internet subscription
MinimServer 0.8 update 88
MinimStreamer 0.5.25
Kinsky Desktop 4.4.5.0
Akurate DS software 4.50.110

I have followed the instructions for setting up the BBC HLS station list for international users. I am based in The Netherlands.
I can see the playlist and start all of the stations.
Each station stops playing after 10 to 13 minutes of playback.

I have several other radio stream playlists that play without stopping.

Can anyone give me some ideas about how I can troubleshoot this problem?

Chip

RE: MinimStreamer support for new BBC HLS AAC streams
Do you see any messages in the MinimServer log when the station stops playing?

My log is set to Verbose.
I do not see any messages in the log.

Please start a thread on the MinimServer forum about this problem. I will respond there with further suggestions.
