Says: "Akurtae DSM Upgrade" in the headline.

RE: Website refresh and introducing Series 5
I miss the manuals and user guide downloads, as I'm looking to upgrade to Exakt and had to go to linnDocs (for which there is no link - probably intentional but wonder why).

Also I found this page in Docs a little misleading:

http://docs.linn.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Ma...#Majik_140

Obviously the line outs go to a power amp, while the speakers as shown here should be connected to the speaker outs.

Yes, I would go further, and say the drawings are wrong!

I think Linn are misjudging their customers quite a lot.

In the last week I have had one customer shocked that Linn did not supply a proper printed manual and not just the quickstart sheet. I have had another that would really like a 'configurator' tool. Where he could put in his current system and the tool would suggest how it can be upgraded. Many are wary of dealers as they feel they are just going to try and sell them stuff. They would like to independantly look themselves at what is possible in an informed way. Exaktm in particular, is an area of massive confusion.

I prefer the cock-up theory to the conspiracy theory; most conspiracies quickly become cock-ups in any case. If stupidity can be the cause, suspect that first ...

The easiest path to Linn Docs from the home or forum pages is via the Full Menu, then Support, where you find a fairly clear link to the Docs site. It would be sensible to add a direct link to Docs as a sub-item of Support on the Full Menu.

The information on the Open Source material (Kinsky, for example) is even harder to find. I just Google for that.

Ahh, good spot. I figured to headings were just that rather than links themselves - I can't be the only one to miss that.
But it does mean the Manuals and Guides "Find you product" link on that page is now redundant as they aren't under the products anymore, nor do they exist in that form anymore (shame).

Linn - heads up!

Good point.

It's certainly irritating (and misleading) that the link takes you back to where you came from. Actually, once you get into Linn Docs, there cis reasonably good access to manuals and other documentation, laid out by product family. So the Manuals and Guides section should just refer to Linn Docs (for the avoidance of doubt), and have no separate link to any other page.

RE: Website refresh and introducing Series 5
The 'Find Out More' links on the main pages for the Klimax and Majik power amps take the user to information relating to network players rather than the stated power amps. I'm sure I can't be the first to notice this but I'd thought I'd better point it out anyway.

Hi,

When on the Akurate power amps page the images in the comparison section appear to be of the DS/DSM.

RE: Website refresh and introducing Series 5
Hi

Just noticed an error while browsing - the 350p is shown as being able to have an Exakt 'modual' retrofittable... Presumably this should read 'module'.
