I understood from the Linn Q+A the other day that the Radikal was the first product to have a power supply like the Dynamik. Not a specific Dynamik product as such but of the same or similar design. The same for the Majik Kontrol amp - hence no upgrades available for the MK. I could be wrong.

I follow your logic but your conclusion that the Radikal PS is inferior is based on the AK sounding better than the MK because of the power supply - I somehow doubt that's the reason, much less the only reason...

You could turn that around & suggest that the MK sounds good because of its 'Radikal PS'. Linn could've populated "basically the same boards" with cheaper components but still have it sound good because of the PS.

If you're right, why wouldn't Linn offer the DPS upgrade for the Radikal? It makes more sense that the reason is it doesn't need it because it already has what is effectively a DPS much as DanielE posted.

If I'm right, my AK is going to sound really good when it gets a DPS - can't wait

Hi guys

This probably is old news to many but just got my KK/1 dynamiked Saturday and unless "burn in" results in "burnt out"... this upgrade should be one for the better...

Loads of detail coming through and yet again - an upgrade that keeps my Solos from winking at me...

Musicality but yet tightness overall, vocals in your face and a laid back way of presenting the music - silence almost playing as big a role as the music itself...

Soundstage as big as your imagination...

and timing...it's just so easy to fall a sleep to those ballads...

but you all know what I'm on about - getting closer to that LP12 sound with the DSs - I think...

Do you think upgrade the power supply of Linn Unidisk SC to Dynamik Power Supply will make any improvement?

How about compare it to amplifier, I have a chance upgrade it to either amp or CD player.

Now that I have heard a source and amplifier with the upgrade, an obvious choiceto me is to upgrade your source first. The Dynamik provided similar enhancements to each unit.

Hi, Just to add my 2 Cents worth. The Dynamic upgrade to the Akurate 2200 made a much bigger improvement to the sound (more musical with a larger soundstage) than when I upgraded the DS with the Dynamik PS.

I'm really happy now, but i don't know how long it takes to burn in to show his full potential?
