RE: Komri - still alive !!!
hello norbert,

thx a lot for your hospitality last night! I enjoyed the stay in Komri heaven and all our expert talks we had very very much Big Grin

those solos are doing things I was very impressed by! some songs were more pleasant with your system, some songs I prefer on my system

as agreed: it is indispensable that you make a trip near frankfurt and hear exakted Komris ... you are invited anytime!

in the meantime enjoy your Komris ... Smile

cheers
frank

@Norbert, Frank,

My dealer ask me every day to buy four additional Solos and go the Exakt way.

How would you describe the difference between your two setups?

Hello Ben,

as Norbert did not yet hear my system I try to describe my personal perception: In deed, the two systems sound different, Norbert's system sound more "easygoing / effortless" and more homogeneous, my system more dynamic and precise.

My last twin still has to burn in and I know I have to finish resp. optimize my SPACE configuration, also an acoustic curtain is under way, therefore I do not yet have a final opinion which system I would prefer at the bottom line.

Can only dream of how exakt Komris with solos would sound like Rolleyes must be outstanding; as far as I remember pablo on the forum has exakt Komris with 8 Solos, have a look at http://forums.linn.co.uk/bb/showthread.php?tid=25931 resp. http://audiophilemusings.blogspot.co.uk/...m-top.html

Greetings from exakt heavenBig Grin

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the fast reply. I'll send you a pm, maybe we can arrange a Komri meeting in the Frankfurt a. M. area (if you want). Than you can here what a LP12 can do with Komris.

Hi Ben,

looking forward to your visit!

I know that LP12 is (still) the better source, nevertheless I expect that this will change over time, means: at some point in time (maybe in 2 years, maybe in 5 years) DMS will overtake LP12 ...

Hi Norbert and Ben,

maybe we can combine this with the planned visit of Norbert?

Greetings from Exakt Komri heaven near Frankfurt am Main

If u'll forgive the intrusion on this thread, I'd be interest in hearing the komri's too if there's room. They're one speaker that I'd love to hear especially in a decent system.
