No, but technically money grows on trees, or plants anyway.

RE: Raspberry Pi - OpenHome build
Hi

Unfortunately, I need to resurrect this thread - looking for some help.

Totally out of the blue, my open home player has lost the volume control in the kazoo playback window?

Tried downloading and reinstalling the openhome player .sh file but still no joy ?

I am such a Linux dunce, I don’t know where to start ??

Hi,
It’s interesting that you have this problem. Mine was working fine, complete with volume control.

Several weeks ago I backed up the SD card to my Windows PC, then installed the latest version of Raspian onto the SD card and attempted to get a USB wifi adapter working.

I gave up and restored my working Raspian backup to the SD card and then managed to get the USB wifi working. However the volume level in Kazoo on my iPad shows zero for the OpenHome player and can’t be changed.

Logically restoring the old version of Raspian to the SD card can’t have had impact, so it must be something to do with what I did to get the USB wifi working.

I’m just living with the problem, the output from the Pi goes into a Squeezebox Boom and I’m adjusting the volume that way.

Paul

There's a bug in the OpenHome player that has been shown up by the latest version of Kazoo. Some older DS firmware versions also have the same bug so we'll undo the Kazoo change that exposed the problem. There will hopefully be a Kazoo release available which will restore volume control in the next couple of weeks.
