Now it's even more bizarre, i didn't think it was working at 45 at all but then i suddenly realised it was spinning but no blue light now on the switch on the deck, only red at 33!

I guess that it's now most likely the psu!

Hercules very quiet hum 45
As the owner of a Mose Hercules PSU, Im very pleased with it, a friend of mine has the Lingo Mk1, the inturnal board inside the LP 12 looks very similar, as does the lead and plug to each PSU unit.
Are the boards/ plugs / leads interchangeable ?

Julian.

How long has it been in use? Bad blue LED?

I replaced the switch and that fixed the blue led problem.

I have since bought a new Lingo 3 and the hum from the motor has gone and all is silent.
