Glastonbury 2017 highlights
Thought it was worth starting a thread for recommendations.

Just started working my way through yesterday's after missing most of it. Thought I would start nice and easy with Kris K. Nostalgic and humourous in a nice way as he wasn't sure how to finish the odd song or what was next but at 81 fair enough.

Royal Blood follows which is an odd combo but is a cracker. (Brilliant performance and well worth the watch).

One for Timster - Noticed Lorde is there too and so looking forward to that. Smile

Elbow were excellent technically but I just find them a bit boring. I know that's sacrilege for many. I enjoy it but find myself wondering what's on next.

First Aid Kit have a very good set too.

Thanks Martin. Any idea when Lorde is on the box? RT doesn't mention...
Recorded Elbow. I like them. But I do agree, I think Guy Garvey's voice is the problem. It has no 'energy' so it makes 'the whole' sound dull. I often wish a song of theirs, like Magnificent for eg, would 'get somewhere' or have some kind of rousing chorus/finale. And it never quite does!

Not sure about when she is on the box but she was live last night and has got great reviews and so will no doubt be in some sort of summary.

Better still, the whole session is on iplayer and that's where I watched it. Not sure if this link works http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p05...2017-lorde but if you search for glastonbury Lorde it pops up.

Enjoy.

Wild Beasts are on iplayer live at the minute and they are pretty good. Nothing But thieves looked good but only caught one of their tracks so far. Worth watching for the comedy moments as he tries to do the mingle with the crowd thing and has real mic cable problems (why they are not wireless I don't know?). doesn't put him off his stride though albeit no doubt took the edge of their appearance Smile

Thanks Martin! Bookmarked and ready to record Smile
I heard that Bradley Cooper was on KK's set, filming for a remake of A Start is Born. Also starring Lady Gaga.
The mind boggles!

Cool - you must let me know how you record it sometime. I used to do that but not for a while.

Bradley was indeed there and so was Johnny Depp.

Been some good ones today but I probably need to think to get them right. I would definitely look out for Wild Beasts and Nothing But thieves. ALso I just caught a clip of Badbadnotgood who I must go back and check out because they sounded very interesting.

I wasn't that keen on one of this year's predicted stars which was Keir. Like the songs, like his voice right up until he trys to belt it out and the tone changes and goes right through me for some reason. Hopefully it is just me. Real shame as I was looking forward to his set.

Watched some dross too but won't finger those because much of it will be musical taste.

Cheers

I have some video capture software (called Debut). I think it was £20 but it's very good, easy to use.
I have the self-titled album by Nothing But Thieves. It's good. Muse-lite Wink

Actually, I think they were perhaps just a shade better than that! I had it on really rather loud, so I'm now busy placing loads of ice packs against the backs of my 350As and all the windows are open to let the resultant steam out. Big Grin

KDS/1 (music) + ADSM (AV) -> KK/1 -> 350A + miniDSP time & phase aligned 345 rear sub
KDS Renew -> Homebrew fixed attenuator -> 2250/D -> 212 and Sizmik front sub (bedroom)
MDSI -> 104C (awaiting installation in my kitchen)
MDSI -> Shahinian Arc (installed at my mum's house)

Loved Chic too - cock on, as we say in the Black Country!

It don't mean a thing (If it ain't got that swing)
