1,700 € were enough to buy a new Cambridge CXN, a new Asus laptop with Office 2016 and 1 year of Spotify Premium

LP12 / Kore / Trampolin 2 / Akito 2b / Radikal / Adikt / T-Kable
Cambridge CXN - Silver
AK/1 - Silver - A2200/1

I'm only aware of three versions of the Klimax Renew DS (/0 /1 and /2). I guess you mean that the latest KDS, the KDS/3 (Katalyst), is actually called KDS/E - so when there is a further upgrade there will hopefully then also be a KRDS/E?

I went from ADS/0 to ADS/1 to KRDS/0 to KRDS/1

I would rate the relative step differences in magnitude and character as:
ADS/0 to ADS/1 - a 10 - big difference in timing, much tighter with more detail
ADS/1 to KRDS/0 - an 8 (ie better again but by not quite as much) - big difference in naturalness - sounded much more real, same level of detail, possibly a small drop in timing
KRDS/0 to KRDS/1 - a 2 - small difference in timing, not always immediately noticeable

You are right, my mistake there is no official /2
i.e. they are /0 /1 /E and it is the /2 that is actually the /E presumably as this version was the first with Exakt links.

I am surprised you found the difference between the KRDS/0 and KRDS/1 to be relatively small. In my own case I found the move from a KRDS/0 (which I had previously thought to be pretty good) to my current KDS/1 to be a very dramatic improvement indeed.

I wouldn't really expect that the 'better' case of the KDS/1 contributed a huge amount to the difference I perceived, but maybe it does.

However, the KRDS streamers (although still a relatively substantial investment for many people) do represent in my opinion pretty good value for money these days.

RE: Not selling
I think most 'Linnies' seem to be moving to Exakt now, so I would imagine that there would be some good prices on used Linn 'Analogue' kit in the future.
