True but that means you have to pay a subscription or annual fee or something, which when you only download a limited number of albums still makes it more expensive

I already do pay anyway so moot point for me but TBH I can stream loads of the albums in HD now and so buying far less so far this year. Not checked yet if this one is streamable in 24 or not.

It does stream at 24bit/96 Khz/4608kbps, I listened to a couple of tracks this morning and I will listen to a lot more of it over the weekend.

RE: David Bowie - a new career in a new town
I’ve almost stopped purchasing new downloads since subscribing to Sublime+.
I know that not everything’s available to stream in high-res, but there’s enough, at least enough for me to justify the extra subscription cost.

LP12 (Valhalla & Cirkus), Ekos, Adikt, Majik Kontrol, Majik C4100 x 2, Linn Silvers, Aktiv Majik 140's (Upgraded Bases), Majik 126, Denon DCD-A100 SACD, Lumin D1, Lumin L1, Chord 2QUTE

Same for me. My buying has reduced but I love the availability of music which is now open to me.

I'm just making a start on the vinyl box set.
With "Heroes"
The CD set SQ is taking a bashing on the Hoffman forum.
But that's nothing new Rolleyes

To be honest i've been really impressed with all of the Bowie box sets so far, got them all on 24bit and to me they sound outstanding.

I just wish that someone would take the time and effort to do similar with some of the other classic artists such as Queen or Genesis or Status Quo.....
