Mark, what’s the difference between this scenario and Chris Harlan making wood plinths which are the same dimensions as Linn’s own?

No I'm not involved.
I heard about it from a friend of a friend last weekend.
I wasn't aware of it being a secret.
I thought people would find it interesting?

It will be pretty much the same as the tangerine but half its price in black and silver.
It with also be available in a few different finishes and colours for those that want something a bit more special /personal.
More details and pictures to follow when available .
Interesting times.

Statement preserved.

Hi David

The difference here is the Tangerine Stiletto is a completely different design to the Linn prototype which never went into production.

The intent above would indicate that to copy our design.

Regards,

Mark

The “intent” comes from a “friend of a friend”. By the time you find out who’s making them, I can guarantee the story would be very different. You could very well end up chasing wild geese, and the only winners will be the lawyers!

It don't mean a thing (If it ain't got that swing)

As David said Tangerine have nothing to protect. On the upside though there are no legal fees that need to be paid Wink

I guess Linn didn't pursue the design as it didn't sound better.

I heard that it was felt that the improvement wasn’t cost effective and that it wasn’t worth taking it any further.

IIRC he said it was different but not better. There’s a thread about it somewhere

I have done that one piece plinth with top plate in 2016.

Indeed it does sound better, I thought it is because of the thicker top plate.Big Grin

My first thought was that hyenas are squabbling over the carcas left by the lion.
