![]() The sun is shining gloriously this morning .. threw some Vaughan Williams on starting with the Wasps suite on EMI then this cheap but nicely recorded CFP version of The Lark Ascending, and the Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis.. divine.. |

RE: What are you listening to right now?
African Charge Head - In Pursuit of Shashamane Land - Sounds stunning on 350s. A fabulous album which ‘changes direction’ (often in mid-track) regularly and unexpectedly. Often listed as reggae but that's not really indicative of what this album's all about as people who dislike reggae absolutely love this album; great fun! Also excellent for late night chilled listening and I don't particularly mean quietly, but quietly does work well too; for a short while!!
![]() LCD Soundsystem - LCD Soundsystem - particularly the track 'Tribulations' which even sounds stunning on an Amstrad system (with enough fine red wine down your face) and totally guaranteed to get people off their seats to either jump about to the music, or to run away at very high speed! It's a wee bit like Talking Heads but much more musical and more 'dance' orientated; almost goes punky in places (but that's being a bit strong). Often used at party's here and always gets cranked up extremely loud by someone (whoever's left most able to see the virtual buttons on the Q1 controller). LCD headlined (after Bjork) at the Connect Festival in Inverarary which wound the weekend up fantastically (I think; I seem to be smiling in the photographs, but they're all a bit dark and muddy so it's hard to be sure) ![]()
