I have a QNAP nas with Twonky build in. PlugPlayer works on my iPhone. It hangs some times, but music plays on and I can start PlugPlayer again and it works as if it never had been stopped.

Currently running DS directly from laptop. With the linkstation live, do you have to install any other software or does the bundled media server software work adequately? What software do you use on the Nokia N95? I would like to use an itouch which on which i have loaded plugplayer. This currently works although it does hang. Any idea if this will operate with the built-in media server? If it doesn't what software would?Rolleyes

Thanks

Hi TL,

The bundled Media Server with Linkstation works just fine.

For the itouch, Songbook has been popular, which can be purchased from the apple store, also Konductor. I haven't got an itouch, so I haven't looked deeply into this. Both seem to have their +'s & -'s. From what little I've read, Songbook does well on the artwork, look & feel side of things, but sometimes has trouble seeing the media server, and Konductor is better in this area, but isn't quite as snazzy looking. Don't quote me on either of those, since I have only done some cursory reading on them.

HRH,

Tim

Hi Tim

Thanks very much - will probably try one since it's inexpensive. If it doesn't work, I guess I can alway use it as a back up hard disc !
