RE: What makes your DS really sing?
@Mark
Funny you should mention Mahler I haven't listened to Mahler for a long time - since the days of audio cassette - then Last week I bought some Mahler CDs - now ripped to DS (but not yet listened to). Will download.

@Warren.
I think the only LP I ever possessed was "Father Abraham and the Smurfs" - I wouldn't want to that to my DS Tongue
The Maximiliano Martin I listened to last night is the 24bit 192kHz. I am extremely tempted to download the CD quality 44.1kHz for back-to-back comparison.

GrĂ¼sse

Chris

Eleanor Mcevoy - Early Hours

Sounds great and it's only 16 bit. Does anyone know if it's possible to rip the SACD layer?

Paul

Another would be the discovery I made on HD Traks, the acoustic guitar of Laurence Juber - Guitar Noir. if you listen to just one acoustic jazz recording, make sure it is this one you won't be disappointed Smile Smile

Talking about accoustic guitar: I'd strongly recommend Nelson Veras' Solo Session - High def download from http://www.qobuz.com

Superb! Cool

Paul, to the best of my knowledge there's NO way to rip SACD, Louis.

Linn Akurate DS/0 Dynamik (G-mod) - Audionet SAM G2 - Canton Karat Reference 6.2 DC (AssetNAS - Sennheiser HD800 - Linn Akurate CD - Nordost Frey interconnects - Kimber Kable 8TC).

I find HDCD rips (e.g. most Joni Mitchell are available as HDCD but also stuff like Beck Sea Change) are very good. (HDCD are rippable via DBpoweramp and are then something like 20bit.)
