RE: Majik DS-I causes tweeter-clicking
I get a little plop when I turn off my 6100. It doesn't seem very loud.

RE: Majik DS-I causes tweeter-clicking
In addition to the clic sound I also get a loud plop through my subwoofer (Majik 126) when I switch the DS-I off at the back. It must be very low frequency since there is no sound through 109s, only thro8ugh the subwoofer.

So is the lesson here to generally leave your ds-i on standby, unless you're leaving the house for days/weeks on end? Kind of concerning, though I guess as it's not hurting the speakers or ds-i, it shouldn't matter? |

RE: Majik DS-I causes tweeter-clicking
The tweeter clicking noise, that occurs when waking up my Majik DS-I from standby, was gone after upgrading to Davaar 4.3.3 :-)
You could not imagine how lucky I was everytime I woke up my Majik DS-I. Today, I've upgraded to Davaar 4.5.3 and the noise is back again :-( What the hell is the reason for this?! |

RE: Majik DS-I causes tweeter-clicking
klimaxer,
look what i've found on the release notes: http://docs.linn.co.uk/wiki/index.php/ReleaseNotes Davaar 3 Build 3 (4.3.3) Released on 29 September 2011 + Fixed Majik DS-I click when changing source and in Davaar 4 Build 2 (4.4.2) Released on 1 November 2011 + Fixed noise burst coming out of standby after power cycle + Fixed Majik DS-I clicks and pops when changing source (pre-out, speaker-out, and headphone-out) + Added device update notifications setting (on or off) I've never tried 4.4.2. on my Majik DS-I and I assume to remember, that Davaar 4.4.2 was never released for the DS-I but only for the DSM. I think, i'll try to install 4.4.2 on my DS-I because then I'll get everything I need: no click and no update notification :-) |

(2012-04-20 08:53)ESEL Wrote: klimaxer, Hi ESEL & Klimaxer Sorry to hear you're having ongoing issues with unwanted clicks from your Majik DS-I speaker outputs. I have investigated this issue using various production release software versions and found the following... 4.5.3 - Minor click from speaker outputs when exiting standby 4.4.2 - Minor click from speaker outputs when exiting standby 4.3.3 - No click from speaker outputs when exiting standby The click on my system is not significantly loud and is independent of the volume setting when exiting standby. However if using speakers that have a higher sensitivity it may be more noticeable. We hope to have this defect fixed for the next production release. I will report back in this thread once a fix has been applied to our software. eamonn Majik DS-I - Akurate 2200 - Akurate 212, Sneaky Music DS - Komponent 104 |

RE: Majik DS-I causes tweeter-clicking
Thank you for the update Eamonn.
The click is a lot more noticeable in my bedroom system which uses in wall Monitor Audio speakers with a high sensitivity - so that makes sense. I am surprised some people have said that they can't hear a click at all though - is it variable from device to device or are folks just not as fussy as some!!?? Bruce |

RE: Majik DS-I causes tweeter-clicking
Eamonn, there is a minor click both on exiting AND entering standby using 4.5.3 on the K/DS1 (and...should we really be calling this a K/DS1 since the info in Konfig describes it as a K/DSMk2 in the ELF file
