RE: Kinsky Pronto 3.2.1 (beta) now available
I have some request regarding the TSU9400 module.
When browsing the Library, it shows the music info according to the views that are defined in the mediaserver (in my case Twonky). That's nice! The font used for the library-listings is bold and it's size is a too large causing the titles to 'fall of the screen'. Is it possible to: 1. make the font size smaller and not bold (about the same size as the top rows with date and time)? 2. also show the albumart when browsing an album (when the albumtracks are displayed)? 3. show track information for a selected track when pressing a specific button (for instance "info" or a "soft button")? |

RE: Kinsky Pronto 3.2.1 (beta) now available
One major thing that I would like to see fixed is this issue of only seeing 250 items in a list. Personally, this makes the Pronto unuseable as a DS controller simply for this alone which is a shame.
I know I can split the trees in Twonky to partially overcome this, but it makes the whole experience cumbersome. I don't know how it is done but the Kaleidoscope controller allows you to scroll through the whole library on a Pronto - unfortunately it does not sound as good as a DS which is why I didn't buy one! Is there anything that can be done to fix this ? |

Thanks for your feedback. 1) My understanding is that the fonts available were very limited when this development was starting. It is currently intended to support other character sets presuming the Pronto now does so, hence an investigation of font support will be done and your point is noted. 2) Again something already on the wish list. This will require some redesign of the interface, hence is not an 'overnight' fix. 3) Nice idea - the playlist page currently gives this info at the bottom of the screen - you wish something similar for the library browsing ? This limit is set by the Pronto's available memory - dependent on media server used the Pronto will run out of memory at some stage when loading items, hence the limit was introduced as a crude fix to prevent crashes. It should be possible to load larger lists in chunks 'under the hood' so that it appears as though everything is there to the end user. Suspect this will add to the processing overhead which is currently proving the biggest issue in that the responsiveness of this beta is unacceptable. Some progress has been made in this regard (I hope), and assuming this is successful then this beta code can be formally released and development started on new and improved features. Has anyone tried embedding the preamp controls into a 3rd party module yet ? |

RE: Kinsky Pronto 3.2.1 (beta) now available
I noticed that special characters are not displayed correct on the Pronto.
For instance, the Dire Straits album Communiqué is displayed as CommuniquÃ@. In KinskyDesktop on my laptop the albumname is spelled correctly. |
