RE: What are your best ever upgrades?
Wow, this thread's back from the dead. Three years between posts 29 and 30.
It's a good question though, and it's got me thinking back through all the very many changes I've made over the years. One that sticks out is my first Aktiv system. It was with Keilidhs, but I can't remember what amps. Probably LK140s, but I can't be sure. Going from the LP12 to the Acutus was an unbelievable step up, but bigger still was the improvement in changing my Arcs for the Model One speakers I have now. As the drivers run in, I'm starting to believe they might be the best speakers I've ever heard, at any price. I think the biggest jump of all though, was going from an Exotik to the Vibe; it was hard to believe how much of a change that made. The icing on the cake was when I sold the Exotik for more than I paid for the Vibe! Best value upgrade? Moving the coffee table. Or possibly getting Electrofluidics speaker cable. Worst upgrade? Fancy mains cables and isolation platforms, which all went back. ADS + loads of stuff people here don't care about |

As mrco99 would say...
Welcome to the Keltik klub! Keltiks, in my own experience, are not easy beast that you c an throw anywhere in the room, with any electronics, and have them singing for you. My path with them have been quite complex, but, im more than pleased on what i have now. Stunning speaker by all means. Wow, this thread's back from the dead. Three years between posts 29 and 30. Phobic has linked this thread in his sticky notes for General HiFi on Top Tips to Upgrade your System, so I felt it was time to get some new input into this important thread. I know I have learned a lot in the last 3 years, and a lot has changed. Especially to my bank account

I guess you have your tunebox filled with mono cards, whereas I have the chakra cards inside the 6100. I do have an extra set of mono cards lying around plus a tunebox from my Kabers, but never bothered to try them I must admit, as I supposed the combo to be inferior to the chakra cards inside in 6100. How's the bass experience?
