Majik DS Internet Connection Question.
Hi,
This may be a simple question! I will be moving house and it will be without internet connection for a few days. Can I still use my Majik DS when it's not connected to internet/router? (Will be using switch). Thanks in advance. |

Yes, as long as you have something acting as a DHCP server and your NAS attached to the same switch as the DS. You obviously won't be able to use DS Radio without internet connection.

Do you have a wireless modem/router from your current house which you're taking with you, and just waiting for a new connection?
If so, it should work fine provided that you still connect up your PC and DS via the router. Main System: Renew DS > Exotik+DA/D > A2200/D > 242s (mk2) & A3200/D > 106c, 104c's (using Linn Silvers & K400, on Hutter rack) Dining Room: Sneaky DS > Majik 109s (using "K200") Bedroom: Majik DS > Tivoli Radio Model 3 + Companion Speaker |

What you suggest will work.
To demonstrate my SDS to friends I took my NAS/Router/iPodTouch/laptop and connected them up to the SDS as normal apart from connecting to the internet. It all worked apart from internet radio.
