Volume output increased on DS on it's own!

Eamonn I'd guess he's comparing it to the other non-DS sources he's got on his preamp. Just a thought.

This is hard work, or is it me
OK. I used to have a Unidisk and always used the unbalanced rca's, but one day I tried the Balanced interconnects. All of a sudden out of the blue the volume had increased considerably. Found out that balanced interconnects add an extra connection and this will increase the volume by about 6db louder.

So the problem with the volume increase from the DS is louder by at least 6db. This is the best way to describe it. So the problem is relative to using balanced connections on the said Unidisk and I can compare to this in this regard.

I've already tried the other inputs on the 5103- no change. Thanks for the suggestion.

Had new computer and forgot password and new password was sent to old no longer used email account. Had to start from scratch. But the other Balhoon knows
