I wouldn't have thought it would be noticeable or at the very least ugly if it were the same size or slightly smaller than the Sondek as the feet are fairly well hidden. There is always option D, last resort... you know what I mean ![]() EDIT: Another after thought..... Get some velcro or 3M stick on feet to attach to the bottom of the Tramp feet.... sorted

Listen carefully to some music, then take out the cardboard and lift these damn Trampolin feet. Listen again. What do you have to loose? I bet it's not going to be that much worse. I could be wrong but woulndìn't it be a good way to avoid paranoia...?

Of course, one has to do the best one can.... and at least the foot would would be tight rather than free to move on the thread! One must remember that if you can't level the stand/support properly then you just have to do the best you can. All members can do here, is offer suggestions/advice based on their experiences. Mathewf. Do try adjusting the feet as advised. It is another route to try. Additional to card, you could try hardboard or just something non metalic under the foot to allow levelling too. Not so easy to find something to shim at the right thickness, but also worth a try and go with what suits you. Hallgrim, You are right. I used the Linn recommended 'paper under the foot' setup and I have now plinth, Keel and platter level. It may also sound better, but I need more time for evaluation. It is strange that a high tech turn table must be set up with paper. Linn could come with something better such as rubber spacers or washers between the foot and the diaphragm of the T2. Emil |

The Trampolin was initially thought to be used only on hard to level and uneven surfaces, where of course feet were to be used for level. It to sound better than the old base on good, technical shelves was discovered afterwards. The feet to be left all screwed on is a "guru" statement as said on the above posts, it's questionable, so you should at least try and compare paper with adjusting feet if you can't level your shelf otherwise

RE: LP12 DEALER SETUP
Daria,
I've done this in the past, but I think you misunderstood my idea. LP12 doesn't like loose screws, nuts or feet. Besides I don't like the idea of playing with the shelf. It must stay level. |

The reason is to deal with low frequency vibrations that the springs will not be very effective to cancel out. -LP12/Keel/Radikal/Ekos SE/sKale/Benz LP -LP12/Keel/Armageddon/Ekos 2/Benz Ruby 2 -Audio Research SP-11/Mark Levinson No. 27.5 -ProAc Response 3.8 |
