Hi, try to enable "INSTALL APPS THAT HAVE BEEN DOWNLOADED NOT FROM MARKET" I think that this can solve your problem.
Cheers. ALSO GREAT APP, much better than SONGBOOK or the others for Apple Stuff. GOOD JOB MAN... |

RE: BubbleDS: a Control Point for Android 2.1+ (in development)
Problem solved - user error: I'd mistakenly assumed my new phone had Android 2.1 (was sure I'd checked...) but actually it only had 1.6.
So installing 2.1 first solved the problem - thanks for all the suggestions. First impressions are very good - nice interface and responsive. Couple of things I noticed: 1) In a multi-DS environment (i.e. Linn HQ) it struggled to find my DS - had to force close 1st time but mine showed 2nd time ok. Have heard from others that DS discovery can be a little tempermental. Will see how it performs when I take it home to my uni-DS setup (option to set Startup DS?) 2) Switching between Radio and Playlist was a little flakey Anyway, just some first thoughts - overall, very positive and would be interested in knowing how much you're intending to charge...

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciated!
@oliverh: 1. Never tried with more than 1 DS so it's possible there are some discover issue with many of them. Are there randomly detected or some of them are missing sometimes ? In the upcoming beta I've changed some discovery related stuff so it may have an effect. 2. How flakey ? switching to Radio is slow to display ? I've never observed that but since cached cover art is read from SD card now, maybe it is slower on some devices. |

Linn HQ is probably as about demanding as it gets for multiple DSes so a good test - will try repeat later today to see results. 2. Display was switching ok but the audio (Now Playing) wasn't changing from Playlist to Radio. Very first time I chose a station it took around 8 seconds to start playing but was much quicker after that. Radio switching improved after that so, again, I'll have another bash today and let you know. Appreciate the effort behind BubbleDS - good to have a slick Android app emerging... |

Hi Bubble
Looks nice, but a few serious errors. 1. Pressing an album cover in the library and choosing "play all" has no.effect. It does work if you browse inside the album and choose play all. 2. Library generally loads much quicker, but sometimes on browsing the library the library appears blank. 3. Do you intend to fix it so album art appears without browsing the library. I don't fancy browsing 1000 plus albums to see all the art! It would make everything look far more professional. Fix this and then have another beta before release. It will pay back dividends. Keep up the good work. Andrew [/b][quote='bubbleguuum' pid='105388' dateline='1295208249'] v0.9.0 is now available. It will exprire on January 31th. This is the final beta before a release on the market in early February, so please test thouroughly .Quote:0.9.0 - iOS tab style at bottom (Android classic tabs still available in Settings) - Now Playing: updated buttons/sliders - all pages have new headers (can be disabled in Settings) offering better discoverability of some features - Library: animation when navigating folders (can be disabled in Settings) - Library: if a folder is an album display the artist below the title - Library: tapping header goes up one level. On the top level, tapping the Library name display the Library chooser - Library: adding/enqueuing tracks to Playlist is now a blocking operation that can be cancelled with the Back button. This was needed to fix some Playlist update related crashes - display album duration in album headers - Now Playing: display Composer below track title (if composer is known, and enabled in Settings) - Now Playing: fixed Source selection menu not selecting correct Source on some products - Now Playing: if playback is stopped, next/prev go to next/prev song in playlist but do not start playback - optimized memory usage - Library: better reporting of browse errors - fixed many infrequent crashes related to playlist, bitmap handling. - fixed obscure crashes - workarounded bug in some LaCie NAS running old Twonky, preventing it from being listed - attempt at fixing discovery problems when lots and lots of Media Servers and DS on LAN (Linn HQ) - prevent album art cache directory from being scanned by Android (for indexing images) Note that it is possible to make it look similar to 0.3.6 (if you prefer that) by using the various options in Settings>Look And Feel. "Play All"/"Enqueue All" play or enqueue all tracks of the current folder. It should have been present in the context menu only if the current folder contained tracks. I've fixed it, thanks for reporting. What you wanted to use probably is "Play" instead, in the same context menu were you found "Play All" which didn't work. 2. Do you mean you see a blank screen in the Library tab (with just the header displaying the name of the Lbrary) ? This is a bug that I'm aware of, but have a hard time to reproduce. If you can reliably reproduce it let me know. 3. This is somewhat in my todo list, but it will work only for Media Servers that specify album art URL in folders (Twonky does it among others). |

I might have missed it when reading your release notes, but is there still no support for volume control of pre-amps?
