Next upgrade with even more noticeble improvement was the K400 speaker cable. Next up was the Sneaky with the Classik moved to the bedroom. The Sneaky was used in digital pre-amp modethrough the LK280 and sounded superb, another massive leap forward and as has been said before by others, got me listening to music much more than before. I have since swapped the LK280 for a 2250. I have tried using the Classik pre-amp instead of the Sneaky digital one but did not hear any benefit in doing so. The Classik now sits in the kitchen and I use it with my ipod/plugplayer to play my Flac files wirelessly from the NAS.

Bill, very interesting. I'm pretty cash light so really the Sneaky DS is the only Ds option for me. I'd be replacing a Classik K currently into a pair of activ Lk140s. Can any one comment on the Sneaky being a source improvement and whether I should just sell the classic and power amps and try to afford an mdsi? I like my Ninkas being activ, big improvement so would really like to keep the LK140s. The lure of 24bit recordings is too much at the moment and the airport express doesn't like them one bit.

Will the Sneaky be your only source? I think, the Sneaky will be an improvement over the Classik, but offers no inputs!

Yes, single source. As long as I can listen to lossless and the radio I'm happy.
