RE: Keyboard control with Mac?
Just to follow up, here are a few extra scripts:

Play/Pause
Code:
LinnIP=192.168.0.55

State=`echo "Action Ds/Playlist 1 TransportState" | nc $LinnIP 23 | grep "RESPONSE" | awk -F'"' '{print $2}'`

if [ $State == "Paused" ]
then
   echo "Action Ds/Playlist 1 Play" | nc $LinnIP 23
else
   echo "Action Ds/Playlist 1 Pause" | nc $LinnIP 23
fi

Increase Volume
Code:
LinnIP=192.168.0.55

echo "Action Ds/Volume 2 VolumeInc" | nc $LinnIP 23

Decrease Volume
Code:
LinnIP=192.168.0.55

echo "Action Ds/Volume 2 VolumeDec" | nc $LinnIP 23

Sorry, the initial question was using the keyboard.
The same script can be triggered using the keyboard. Instead of creating an application, create a service. An Automator service can be assigned to a keyboard shortcut.

Thanx Robin,

very useful, indeed. One question: LPEC is supposed to work on Windows only, under MacOS only with Wine. Can you confirm?

Hi!

LPEC is a network protocol and is not dependent on any specific operating system. It can be be used on any system that can send a command over tcp. For example, I have integrated my smart home system (Fibaro) to switch off all Linn equipment when I switch off the main light switch at night.
The scripts I supplied will work directly on a Mac or a Linux based system as the programs nc and awk usually are present by default. A Windows system will probably have to have these installed separately.

RE: Keyboard control with Mac?
I had missed the existence of LPEC until now. That's excellent! Better than Applescript support even.
