Art9 on Ittok
Has anyone tried the new AT-Art9 on an Ittok LVII with the Linto? Impressions?

The Art9 weighs 8.5 g with an output voltage of 0.5 mV

Both very similar to the ArkivB numbers (7.4 g and 0.4 mV)

The ArkivB/Linto combo was regarded as a match made in heaven

I wanted to replace my KlydeB with the Krystal but it is twice the price of the Art9 here in USA

I can obtain a brand new Art9 for $850.00 USD

Thoughts?

RE: Art9 on Ittok
No reason why it shouldn't work well.

The Ittok remains a plenty good enough arm to do it justice.

Let us know how it sounds. I always loved the AT-OC9ml/II on the Ittok, but an AT33EV was missing something.

Just waiting and hoping for some positive (or negative) comments before I take the plunge Cool

RE: Art9 on Ittok
I was curious about this cartridge (the Art9) too (I've got an Ittok LVIII mk2 and Linto). I was particularly interested in whether or not the .5mv output would be a little "hot" for the standard Linto (I don't want to "snip" the to reduce the gain). It certainly has the specs to be spot on with this setup.

I also was looking at the Art7; this has a very low output (.12mv); however, the Linto has quite a bit of gain and is quiet, so I was wondering if this cartridge potentially would work right into the Linto (without step-up). I know that the Klyde also had a very low output (.15mv, I believe), so maybe not such a bad matchup?

Has anyone heard either of these cartridges through a Linto?

Yes, the Klyde has an output voltage of .15mV and I've enjoyed it with the Linto without any issues what so ever. That said, I believe the Linto was purposely tailored for the Arkiv/Akiva (both .4mV).

Expert opinions are welcomed Wink

Interesting; I looked up the output for the Arkiv, and it appears that the .4mv figure is measured at 3.5cm/sec. rather than the more common 5cm/sec. So, apples to apples, that output number is even higher than the Klyde and ART7, which are measured at 5cm/sec.

I have heard stories of the Arkiv overloading the Linto on occasion (with the stock setting), though.

I may be wrong Cool Any Linn specialist input will be greatly appreciated Wink
