Well got up early this morning whilst my wife was fast asleep an out of eye shot .
A couple of holes in the wall, two Ethernet cables, and bingo, volume control on the wall.

RE: DS RCU
You look to have a done a very neat job, there - I presume it was a cavity wall with the Ethernet cable dropped through the ‘middle’? Does it act as a neater example of a remote ‘magic eye’?

Simply it allows me to up/down volume without having to pick up my iPad, also allows standby, but Alexa can do the standby also Smile

How does Alexa do the standby?
I just have a smart plug .
For a bit of fun I renamed it to Sneaky.
“Alexa, turn on Sneaky”
“Alexa, turn off Sneaky”
I still have to manage playlists as usual, until linn get involved, I doubt this will happen though.

Just as well you didn't call it "Linn", especially if that happens to be your partner's name Smile
