Sad Last iOS Kazoo update kills custom TuneIn urls!
I just discovered that the latest iOS Kazoo update kills the use of custom urls added to TuneIn!

I've updated one iPhone and one iPad, did not update a second iPhone and that one still works.

I've also contacted Linn via the Kazoo App. but I hope that I can find a solution for this here.

Removing and re-installing the iOS App. is no solution Sad

The version that still works is: 4.11.257 on iOS 11.3.1.

NOT working: 4.12.6 on iOS 11.3.1

Firstly, apologies for this breaking change.

Thanks for reporting the issue & raising it via Kazoo. We've analysed the logs included in the report and identified the issue. An engineer is currently working on a fix that will be included in the next release of the app.

We'll also update our internal testing regime to improve our testing around custom TuneIn URLs for future releases.

Chris,

Apologies accepted and congrats + kudos for this fast response and action.

I'll wait patiently for the next release.

Regards, Norman

RE: Last iOS Kazoo update kills custom TuneIn urls!
Any release-date on the new version?

My only phone that still works won't start Kazoo because it "sees" a new version and wants to update (and why am I forced to update?).

So I'm now out of my favourite music as even the Windows version stopped working Sad

Chris,

Any idea when we will see a fix for this?

I haven't been able to play my music for almost a month now.

Kind regards, Norman

I've been using the Windows version of Kazoo and it plays my Radio Paradise custom URL from TuneIn perfectly well.

I'm using that version to and it does not play my DI.FM custom urls.

I'm getting annoyed because after their quick response it seems releasing a fix is of no priority.

I maybe the only one with this issue but still.

Hi Norman,

The fix for the is currently scheduled for a planned maintenance release later in the year. I appreciate this is frustrating news as it's something you use frequently.

The low frequency of users reporting the issue means that it's been aggregated with with other planned work that needs to be completed for the next maintenance release.

Regards,

Chris
