Not upgraded for years.
LP12 number 062XXX which from memory is about 1986.
Apart from regular servicing no upgrades since purchase except power supply was replaced with second hand Lingo 1.
Rest of system Rega RB300 (upgraded by Audio Origami about 10 years ago), Dynavector DV20L MC cartridge, Dynavector P-75 Mk2 phono stage, Naim 252, Supercap, 250, Spendor S6 speakers.
Its high time I spent a bit of money on my source! Budget say up to £2000 though flexible.
Was thinking of Cirkit + Lingo 4 (or Cirkit + Tiger Paw Tranquility)
Any suggestions?
(I will go for professional install ..... and maybe a trip to Leicestershire!)

If you look at the thread on my recent LP12 purchase, you will perhaps be as surprised as I was at the unanimity of support for the advice my dealer gave me. To cut to the chase, the best order in which to make improvements Is: bearing (Cirkus); power supply and motor (some sort of Lingo for you as for me, I guess, but the current Lingo 4 is definitely worth going for if you can stretch that far); sub-chassis (a Kore would be good but might stretch the budget too far); arm; cartridge/stylus (unless wear and tear replacement is essential, in which case it goes up the hierarchy); phono stage.

Having heard a system with it fitted, I like the Tranquillity, but I think that it is lower priority than the basics I have listed. It's a relatively easy home retrofit in any case.

Depending on where you live, other dealers may be nearer at hand and be able to offer just as good a service. This is not in any way a criticism of Cymbiosis, of course; just a recognition that choice is good for us customers. And it is often easier to build up a working relationship when the dealer is more accessible.

Cirkus + Lingo 4 sounds like a goer to me.

+1^
Cirkus kit and Lingo 4 is definitely the way to go.
A better sub-chassis will be in need to fit the Cirkus.

Are you saying I need to upgrade the sub-chassis before Cirkus? (The sub-chassis is original from circa 1986)

At Minimum you require to go for the bonded double thickness steel chassis at the bearing mounting point for Cirkus. Many dealers have spares lying around cheaply.

Cirkus is the obvious essential (i.e. it will make most difference to the sound), if you do nothing else. As it involves a strip down and rebuild of the LP12 (probably a good thing in itself), changing the chassis (see Glyn's advice) is probably a sensible thing to do, funds permitting

As regards the power supply, I'm assuming from the date of your LP12 that you have a Valhalla. I'd take your dealer's advice on its condition; at 30+ years old, it may benefit from a rebuild. As we don't know your budget, we're a bit in the dark as to how far you can take things.

Yes ~ new springs & grommets when you change the chassis for Cirkus are cheap & very worthwhile. Cirkus upgrade is fundamental to getting rid of the old tubby midbass pre Cirkus decks suffered & effectively gives you more audible bass extension. Just a good service & set up will improve an old LP12. Even if you keep your Lingo1 it will benefit from a Cap replacement.

RE: Not upgraded for years.
My LP12 chassis is pre-Cirkus. I think its off to a dealer to decide if I upgrade existing or trade in for new.

My budget as I said at outset was "say up to £2000 though flexible", but it looks like I need to be 'flexible'!
