Hi, does your Sondek struggle a little to spin up.
I think mine is having a little more trouble than when I built it, could the Valhalla need looking at.

Fluted Lp12, Valhalla, Cirkus, Trampolin, Michell Techno A, Goldring 2100. Elliot Sounds Phono pre. Marantz cd6006. Moth passive pre-amp. 3 x LK100. Active Kabers, (Scanspeak D2008 tweeters). DIY Ikea coffee table rack.

Probably.
Might need a rebuild to get it back to optimum working order.

Yes, usually a sign that the caps need replacing, although there’s a few other things that it’s worth changing at the same time and a couple of mods worth doing if yours doesn’t already have them - zener diode mode and thermistor, sorry that should be varistor.

Darran at Class A does it for a very reasonable price.

Hi 'troll, Vinyl passion are selling repair and upgrade kits on Ebay. I can do the lectronics myself, just need the proper bits.

With the price of new belts now...I always spin the platter before pressing the button..(always have)
Too many years of Rega ownership showing...
